Red Blob Massacre!!
My newest work, Red Blob Massacre, a short silent horror film and live performance, premiered on April 5 & 6, 2012 at the Cavern Club in Ann Arbor, MI. Images from the premiere and information about the film can be viewed here: Red Blob Massacre. I am currently editing the footage from the live performance at the premiere to create the final scene of the film. Once finished, I will submit the film to film festivals. The film combined with live performance will be re-staged in late summer at the River Gallery Fine Art in Chelsea, Michigan.
The Performance Laboratory
I have been busy co-curating a monthly performance series called the Performance Laboratory at the Contemporary Art Institute Detroit (CAID). Since its establishment in March 2011, the Performance Laboratory features artists and performers from Detroit and its surrounding areas.

The Performance Laboratory is focused on providing a forum for new short works and works in progress. Occurring every third Friday of the month, the series features 5-8 artists per episode whose work explores and investigates the dynamics of what live performance is and what it can be.

Encouraging original works and the exploration of new ideas, the Performance Laboratory aims to facilitate impassioned dialogue around the possibilities that lie within performance. Our goal is to establish a consistent venue for ideas to be shared and developed, new artistic partnerships to be made, and a supportive and diverse community to gather.

The Performance Laboratory takes place every month at the Contemporary Art Institute Detroit (CAID):
5141 Rosa Parks Blvd
Detroit, MI 48208
